Partnerships are key to life science start-ups seeking to raise financing and develop technologies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. Fortunately, Rhode Island’s healthcare institutions are replete with clinicians and researchers who can provide valuable insight.
The Rhode Island Clinician-Entrepreneur Network is intended to connect entrepreneurially-minded clinicians with innovative RI start-ups seeking to raise financing and develop technologies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. Clinicians with an interest in serving in various capacities, such as critic, advisor, board member, or clinical trial runner, are invited to apply for membership and will be introduced to innovative companies operating in a relevant field of medicine.Â
Jay Round is an experienced MBA/MS in business and research program development with a successful track record in the biotechnology, medical device, agtech and pharmaceutical industries. “It was critical to have an entrepreneur like Jay on board. Having another like-minded individual who helps keep the interest of the company in mind has been immensely supportive.”
