Wondering what’s up with Rhode Island’s efforts to develop a life-sciences economy? You might find answers at a conference Wednesday morning at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.
RI Bio, a consortium working to develop the state’s digital health-care economy, and the Rhode Island-Israel Collaborative, which seeks to establish links between businesses in Israel and Rhode Island, will co-host a session from 9 a.m. to noon at the medical school’s offices at 222 Richmond St., Providence.
Keynote speakers, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., will include David Barone, a principal at Boston MedTech Advisors, Dr. Tamar Raz, CEO of Hadasit Medical Research Services & Development, and Dr. Roey Tzezana, future studies researcher at Tel Aviv University, lead researcher at XPRIZE and R.I. manager of ScienceAbroad.
A discussion workshop from 11-11:45, moderated by Dr. Megan Ranney, director of the Emergency Digital Health Innovation Program and associated professor of emergency medicine at Brown, will address “Facilitating digital health innovation in Rhode Island.”
Stefan Pryor, R.I. secretary of commerce, will deliver guest remarks.
